Snowpack Structure

A lot of snow has fallen. The weather will be mild. Bonded new snow to intermediate altitudes: The snowpack will become in most cases favourable. These weather conditions will give rise to gradual consolidation of the snowpack in particular at intermediate altitudes.

Avalanche Activity

New snow represents the main danger.

In gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain slab avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. They can be released, mostly by large loads. On steep slopes loose snow avalanches are possible, but they can reach medium size in isolated cases. In addition ground avalanches are possible.
