In the late morning the natural avalanche activity will slowly increase. An increasing number of small and medium-sized dry and wet avalanches are to be expected. More recent wind slabs are bonding only slowly with the old snowpack. The wind slabs of the last few days are to be evaluated with care and prudence in particular in steep terrain. Mostly the avalanches in these regions are rather small and can mostly be released by large loads. The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the high Alpine regions, so that the avalanche danger should be investigated especially thoroughly in the relevant locality.

In particular along the border with France over a wide area 20 to 40 cm of snow has fallen since Sunday above approximately 2400 m. From late morning the weather will be mostly sunny. Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack in some cases. As a consequence of falling temperatures the snowpack will consolidate in the evening.
