As a consequence of sharply rising temperatures and the strong to storm force northwesterly wind, fresh snow drift accumulations will form on Wednesday.

The wind slabs of the last few days must be evaluated with care and prudence in all aspects above the tree line. These can be released even by a single winter sport participant. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls in all aspects. The sometimes large wind slabs represent the main danger. They will be covered with new snow in some cases and therefore difficult to recognise.
