Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. At higher elevations soft slabs formed by west winds up to a foot in depth rest on leeward aspects. These slabs lie on lighter density snow and a slick hard crust. Riders or skiers who venture into steep wind loaded starting zones could trigger these slabs. Warm temperatures at low elevations continue to heat the snowpack and there is the potential to release wet slides on steep snow covered slopes.
