Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today and will increase as the day warms. Soft surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth lie on slick crusts. These slabs could be triggered on steep wind loaded aspects especially as temperatures warm and have potential to pull out deeper slabs to three feet in depth. Since Monday numerous skiers have been caught and several were serisouly injured in the Tetons. Wet loose slides are also likely on steep sunlit aspects as temperatures rise.
