Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Slabs up to 18 inches in depth lie upon a basal layer of weak faceted snow. These slabs could be triggered on steep wind loaded avalanche prone slopes possibly by a single skier but more likely by heavier triggers such as snowmachines. Once triggered these slabs have potential to step down into the weaker basal layers of the snowpack or the ground. The greatest hazard is to highmaking snowmobilers in very steep extreme terrain.
