Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is LOW this morning and will quickly increase to Moderate as new snowfall and wind cause soft slabs to grow to up to two feet in depth on steep leeward slopes. These slabs will form on a snowpack of hard crusts and weak faceted snow and will be easily triggered this afternoon. Friday a snowmobiler triggered a slide in the Smiths Fork area.
