Points saillants
Soft slabs up to 30 inches in depth exist at the mid and upper elevations. They lie upon light density snow and are poorly bonded to old slick crusts. These slabs could be human triggered on steep wind loaded slopes and cliff areas. Although no new slides were reported yesterday five skier triggered avalanches were reported on Wednesday. These events occured on northerly and easterly aspects. Skiers were caught and carried but not injured in two of these events. The sensivity of these slabs to triggers will increase as temperatures warm.
