Avalanche Summary

Strong southwest winds will drift recent snowfall, keeping avalanche danger elevated at upper elevations. You could trigger an avalanche in recently drifted snow. Look for active wind transport and avoid fresh drifts on steep leeward slopes facing north, northeast, and east. Safer travel can be found in wind-sheltered areas.
