Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are free of avalanche activity. In steep, exposed terrain, avoid small pockets of wind-drifted snow. You might find small drifts developing tomorrow at the highest elevations in the San Juan Mountains, Elk Mountains, and Sawatch Range.
If you find yourself sinking into wet snow as the day warms, head to lower-angled slopes or cooler aspects. Start and end your day early, and you'll avoid both potential problems tomorrow.
Researchers Ian McCammon and Sara Boilen are developing new tools for managing human factors for backcountry skiers and boarders. This survey asks about personal experiences with human factors and will take 7 - 8 minutes to fill out. Link is HERE. Thank you for your help!
