Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for the Park Range from Wednesday 5 AM to Wednesday 11 PM. A strong storm will bring powerful westerly winds and heavy, wet snow, building thick slabs on easterly-facing slopes. Up to two feet of snow is possible at higher elevations. Dangerous avalanches will be easy to trigger, especially in wind-drifted areas, and may step down into deeper weak layers. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended on Wednesday.

Below 9,000 feet, rain on snow could quickly trigger avalanches, particularly on north-facing slopes.
