Avalanche Summary

Use care on northeast-, east-, and southeast-facing slopes, especially at upper elevations, where winds have drifted recent snow over older weak layers. These are the spots where people have triggered avalanches in the last week. Look for signs of instability, such as cracking and collapsing, to identify potentially dangerous slopes. If you see any of these indications of weak snow, stick to lower-angle terrain without steeper terrain above you. Winds will pick up on Sunday, so be especially careful in areas where you find new wind drifting. You can find safer conditions at lower elevations and in wind-sheltered terrain.

Weather Summary

JK says lots of snow to move and it seems like we'll have the winds to do it throughout the day on Sunday, so raising ATL to CON for WSa likely on Monday. back it off if you need
