Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Wind, snow, and varying temperatures over the last several days have created surface slabs from 6 inches to 18 inches in depth. Many such slabs were triggered in the region yesterday and could be triggered today by skiers, boarders, or snowmobilers. The potential exists for these slabs to pull out deep, hard slabs on slopes with northerly aspects above 8000'. Avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets below 8000'.
