Points saillants

At upper and mid elevations new wind driven snow has set up slabs to 18 inches in depth on lee slopes that could be triggered by backcountry users today. The new, wind packed snow rests on weak, light density snow. Due to varying wind directions during the last few days it will be difficult to predict which aspects will be more likely to slide. At low elevations, isolated pockets of slab could be triggered on very steep terrain that has been wind loaded and is underlain by weak snow.
