Points saillants

At the upper elevations southwest winds have formed isolated pockets of soft slab 4 to 8 inches in depth. These small slabs lie upon cold weak faceted snow and are likely to be easily triggered in steep wind loaded starting zones. At the mid elevations shallow isolated pockets of slab are possible in wind affected areas. Avalanches are not likley at the lower elevations where the snowpack is only a few inches deep.
