Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE above an elevation of 7,500 feet. Dangerous, unstable slabs to three feet in depth rest on a variety of aspects and may be triggered by one person nearby, the second person on a slope or cutting a slope below the normal starting zone. Careful snowpack evaluation, cautious route-finding and conservative decision-making are essential for safe travel in avalanche terrain today.
