Avalanche Summary

New snow and strong winds are forming thick wind-drifted slabs on north and easterly slopes near ridgetop. You can trigger avalanches up to two feet deep in fresh drifts of snow. With the recent strong winds, you may even find slabs of drifted snow below treeline, especially on the leeward side of gully walls. For safer avalanche conditions, choose less wind-affected slopes and slopes that don't end in terrain traps.
