Avalanche Summary

Strong westerly winds and fresh snow will rapidly build denser slabs at higher elevations that may be easy to trigger. With a wide range of old snow surfaces, some slopes could be more dangerous than others, so use extra caution if you find any wind-drifted slope coated with up to a foot of new snow. Northeast to east to southeast aspects will be the most likely places to find this new problem. Though less likely, this new load could reawaken deeper weak layers, creating even larger avalanches. Avoiding wind-loaded areas will help keep you safe.
