Points saillants

In some localities a little new snow.

Problèmes avalancheux

  • Wind slab

    • Toutes altitudes

Avalanche Activity

In some localities a little new snow.

In the last few days rather small wind slabs formed in particular at elevated altitudes. The fresh wind slabs are mostly very small and can only be released in isolated cases. In all aspects small moist snow slides and avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming, in particular below approximately 2700 m. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. Faceted weak layers exist in the old snowpack especially on steep shady slopes. In the last few days hardly any more avalanches were reported.

Tendency

The avalanche danger will persist.
