Avalanche Activity

New snow from late morning.

The weather conditions facilitated a gradual strengthening of the snowpack in particular below approximately 2600 m. The fresh snow and the mostly small wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases in particular on steep, little used north, northeast and northwest facing slopes above approximately 2500 m.

Snowpack Structure

The old snowpack will be favourable at intermediate and high altitudes. In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls as well as at high altitude mostly small wind slabs formed.
