LO for 6/2. Covering of soft, stable snow. Isolated windslab NE,E,SE,S,SW above 1000m. Low hazard.

Forecast Snow Stability: A covering of fresh, soft and stable snow will be present on most aspects above 400 metres. Isolated deposits of unstable windslab are possible at the tops of steep North-East through East to South-West aspects above 1000 metres. These are expected to be shallow, limited in extent and easily avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Cold with light scattered showers through the period which will fall as snow above around 400 metres. Fresh North-Easterly winds overnight will become very strong Northerly during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Cold and dry with light mainly Easterly winds. ObservedSnowStability: There is a covering of soft, stable snow on many aspects above 400 metres. Isolated pockets of windslab persist on North-East to South-East aspects above 1100 metres. These areas are shallow, limited in extent and easily avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
