Observed Weather Influences: The freezing rose above the summits overnight before dropping to around 900 metres by morning and 700 metres by late afternoon. There were some short but intense snow showers. Gale force winds were from the South-West. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack has consolidated with the thaw and refreeze. In many areas it has a crust of variable strength and thickness. It is generally stable throughout. Fresh deposits during the day were not significant. The avalanche hazard is Low.
