As a consequence of, snowfall and the moderate easterly wind, an unfavourable avalanche situation will develop. The wind slabs can be released even by a single winter sport participant,, also on steep slopes. Natural avalanches: Dry and moist avalanches are possible as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. These weather conditions will bring about a weakening of the near-surface layers. In the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 4 (high) avalanches are possible as the day progresses, but they can be large in isolated cases. They can be released naturally and can reach as far as intermediate altitudes.

15 to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, has fallen since Sunday above approximately 1600 m. 20 to 40 cm of snow will fall until Wednesday above approximately 1600 m. The easterly wind has transported the new snow. The fresh snow and the sometimes deep wind slabs are bonding poorly with the old snowpack in all aspects. Towards its surface, the snowpack is unfavourably layered. A lot of snow is lying at intermediate and high altitudes.

Some snow will fall on Thursday. The danger will decrease gradually.
