Forecast Snow Stability: A thin layer of largely insignificant fresh snow is expected to develop through the day above around 400 metres. Isolated deposits of windslab will develop on North-East and East aspects above 700 metres, mostly around coire rims and gully tops. These deposits are expected to be shallow and easily avoidable and in many locations overlie bare ground. Elsewhere the limited remaining old snow patches will be firm, icy and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Showers throughout the day will fall as snow above around 400 metres with gale force West-South-Westerly winds. The freezing level will fall gradually through the night to be around 500 metres by dawn. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day with storm force South-Westerly winds. Heavy rain at all levels eased through the morning to give a drier afternoon. The freezing level is above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The limited patchy snow cover continues to thaw and diminish. Stability is good in all locations. Largest areas of snow lingers on North to East aspects above 850 metres, mostly around coire rims and in gullies and predominately on the more inland mountains. There are many bare slopes ridges and summits throughout the forecast area. The avalanche hazard is Low.
