Avalanche Activity

Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Some snow has fallen since Friday. In steep terrain there is a danger of falling on the hard snow surface. These avalanche prone locations are covered with new snow and are difficult to recognise. Backcountry touring calls for restraint. Several small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized dry avalanches are possible.

Snowpack Structure

Above approximately 1000 m snow has fallen since Friday over a wide area. Thus far only a little snow is lying. Over a wide area from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.
