Points saillants
Our last advisory of the season will be issued on Sunday. Temperatures at the higher elevations have been mostly below freezing for the past 24 hours. Strong winds have created isolated pockets of new wind slab up to eight inches deep. These pockets could catch and carry skiers or climbers who venture into cliff areas and steep couloirs. The sun is likely to trigger shallow, wet loose slides that involve the new snow on steep sunlit aspects. Deeper and larger wet slides could occur in the afternoon. This advisory does not extend into terrain above an elevation of 10,500 feet. The extent of snow covered terrain below an elevation of 7,500 feet is limited.
