Points saillants
New snow and strong west winds will begin to form new soft slabs in upper elevation starting zones as the day progresses. Small isolated pockets of soft slab up to six inches in depth sensitive to human triggers are possible in the afternoon. At the lower elevations ambiant air temperatures have stayed well above freezing during the past 48 hours resulting in a weakened snowpack. Wet loose point slides could be human triggered on steep snow covered lower elevation slopes.
