Points saillants
Heavy snow has formed new soft slabs to two feet in depth at the mid and upper elevations. These slabs lie upon crusts and could be easily triggered by backcountry users on steep wind loaded slopes. These slabs will increase in size and sensitivity as heavy snow continues today and temperatures rise. At the low elevations pockets of slab to a foot in depth could be triggered this morning on steep slopes. In the afternoon at low elevations wet slab and wet loose avalanches will be possible as more precipitation and warming occur.
