Avalanche Summary

With warm temperatures on Saturday night and clouds preventing the snow surface from cooling, the window to recreate on steep slopes in the mountains on Sunday may be small. Start early and end early to reduce your risk of wet avalanches. If the snow surface isn't frozen, or you are sinking into the snowpack, avoid steep slopes. Slopes that will be most prone to avalanches on Sunday are sheltered slopes that are not getting cooled by moderate to strong alpine winds.

Also, be wary of traveling on steep slopes with large, overhanging cornices. In the past few days, several car-sized cornice chunks have released, triggering avalanches as they hit the slope below.
