Avalanche Summary

Large and dangerous wet avalanches are likely on Thursday. These avalanches will be easy to trigger, and some may release naturally in steep terrain. With up to two feet of snow in places, avoid steep slopes where the new snow feels moist or slides easily on crusts below.

Increasing west to northwest winds will also create dangerous drifting in areas with colder snow. Watch for wind-loaded slopes, especially on alpine easterly aspects, and avoid steep terrain where snow is actively drifting.
