Avalanche Activity

Wet-snow slides possible in the afternoon

Avalanche danger until Friday: low. Due to warmth at all altitudes, isolated naturally triggeredf wet loose-snow avalanches are possible on steep slopes, but only small releases.

Snowpack Structure

The snowpack is moist-to-wet up to summit zones. Most snow lies in the Schladminger and Wölzer Tauern and Dachstein regions. The slopes are becoming increasingly bare of snow.

Weather Synopsis

On Thursday, quite sunny. A few clouds in the afternoon. Winds will be light, temperatures rising at all altitudes. At 2000 m: up to 8 degrees in the western regions, elsewhere at 5 degrees. On Friday, sunny and warm. In the afternoon, convective cloud build-up, but it will remain dry.

Tendency

No significant change in avalanche danger levels is expected. The next Avalanche Bulletin will be published on FRIDAY.
