10 to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall until the early morning. As a consequence of new snow and a sometimes strong northwesterly wind, mostly small wind slabs will form. These can be released, especially adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase as the day progresses.

The Avalanche Warning Service currently has only a small amount of information that has been collected in the field. 10 to 25 cm of snow will fall until late morning. In many cases new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. Above approximately 2800 m snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. Below approximately 2200 m only a little snow is lying. The old snowpack will be generally well bonded.

The danger will persist.
