Points saillants

New soft slabs up to one foot in depth put in by westerly winds formed overnight at the mid and upper elevations. These slabs could be triggered by backcountry travellers on steep wind loaded aspects. At the upper elevations weak faceted snow exist at the base of the snowpack. Slabs could step down to the ground in steep upper elevation wind loaded starting zones that have not already had avalanche activity.
