Points saillants
During the past 2 days two feet of snow with over two inches of moisture have fallen at the upper elevations. Soft slabs formed by southwest winds two to four feet in depth exist at the mid and upper elevations. These DANGEROUS slabs could be easily triggered today or could release naturally. At the lower elevations pockets of soft slab up to 18 inches in depth exist on steep wind loaded aspects and could be triggered by humans. Good terrain evaluation and route selection skills are essential for safe travel in avalanche terrain today. .
