Points saillants
At the upper elevations isolated pockets of wind slab up to 14 inches deep lie upon slick old snow surfaces. These shallow slabs could be triggered by humans who venture into steep avalanche starting zones. Once triggered the debris from these slabs could carry humans over cliffs, down steep slopes or bury them in terrain traps. Wet slides could occur at the mid and lower elevations if significant sustained rainfall occurs.
