Points saillants
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE today. Pockets of new surface slabs formed by wind up to 18 inches in depth lie and could be triggered in steep wind loaded avalanche paths at the higher elevations. At all elevations a weak layer of bured surface hoar and faceted snow persists at a depth of one to three feet from the snow surface. This buried layer is a potential failure surface that has been sensitive to human triggers.
