The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Surface slabs up to two feet in depth exist in avalanche prone terrain. These slabs could be triggered today on steep wind loaded aspects and have the potential to pull out deeper layers of faceted snow. These slabs will become more sensitive today as warming occurs particularly on sunlit slopes.
