Problèmes avalancheux

  • New snow

    • Above 2,000 m

Avalanche Activity

The snowpack will be generally stable. New snow represents the main danger.

The snowpack will be generally well bonded. The avalanche prone locations are rather rare and are clearly recognisable to the trained eye. Fresh wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in some cases above approximately 2200 m. Below approximately 2000 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

Snowpack Structure

0 to 10 cm of snow has fallen. Only a little snow is lying. As a consequence of low temperatures and snowfall fresh snow drift accumulations formed during the last few days, in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas in particular at intermediate and high altitudes.
