Forecast Snow Stability: A fresh dusting of new snow will be present above 1100 metres but amounts will be insignificant. The existing snowpack continues to consolidate and will be stable and well bonded throughout. Greatest accumulations will be found above 1000 metres mainly in coire back walls and on the summit plateaus. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: It will be mainly dry, with a few overnight showers. These will fall as snow over the highest summits but amounts will be negligible. Winds, generally from the South-West will fluctuate between light and moderate throughout. The freezing level will be around 1100 metres, rising slightly towards the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a dry day with the freezing level around 900 metres at midday. Winds were moderate from the South-East. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack refroze overnight before slowly starting to soften during the day, especially where exposed to solar radiation. This stable snow pack can be mostly found above 1000 metres on the summit plateaus and around coire back walls. The avalanche hazard is Low.
