Forecast Snow Stability: Initially new unstable windslab will develop on North-West to North-East aspects above 600 metres. As it turns milder on these aspects above 800 metres, avalanches and cornice collapse are likely. Areas especially affected will be steep locations such as gullies, coire back walls, crag aprons and convex terrain. Below 800 metres and above 500 metres, instabilities will persist on steep, convex slopes and burn lines. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: Light snowfall is expected during the night on strong Southerly winds. During the day winds will increase to gale force and veer South-Westerly. By late morning light snow will turn to rain just below summit levels. The 800 metre freezing level will rise to near summit levels by midday. Observed Weather Influences: A mostly dry day with gale force South-South-Easterly winds. The freezing level at midday was just above 600 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Drifting snow continued at higher levels. Poorly bonded windslab is present on steep North-West to North-East aspects. This is most widespread on steep wind sheltered slopes above 800 metres. West and East facing slopes are affected by cross loading. Below 800 metres and above 500 metres, unstable windslab is present on steep banks, and burn lines. Fragile cornices overhang some of these aspects. Elsewhere the snowpack is becoming wind eroded and firm. The avalanche hazard is Considerable.
