Points saillants

At the upper elevations pockets of soft slab up to one foot in depth and older denser slabs up to two feet in depth exist in the starting zones of some avalanche paths. The older slabs lie upon good sliding surfaces. These slabs and loose snow sluffs could be triggered by backcountry travellers especially on steeper wind loaded aspects and in cliff areas. At the mid and lower elevations isolated pockets of slab and loose snow sluffs could be triggered in cliff areas and the steep wind loaded starting zones of avalanche prone terrain.
