Points saillants

Isolated pockets of hard slab up to one foot in depth exist in upper elevation starting zones and in cliff areas. If triggered these small pockets could sweep a skier or snowboarder over a cliff or bury a human in a terrain trap. At the mid and lower elevations melt-freeze crusts hardened overnight. If significant warming occurs during the day these crusts will soften. After these crusts soften wet slides will be possible on steep snow covered sunlit aspects. These wet slides could release to the ground especially in steep rocky areas with a shallow snowpack.
