Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above 8,000 feet. Skiers or riders could trigger pockets of dense surface slab up to 18 inches in depth on steep wind loaded aspects. These slabs have the potential of stepping down to deeper persistent instabilities, particularly on steep northerly aspects. Below 8,000 feet the general avalanche hazard is LOW and avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets.
