Points saillants

Sunlight and temperatures that are to quickly rise well above the freezing point will rapidly weaken the snowpack today. This will provide for the possibility of wet slide activity as well as increase the chance for human triggered slab avalanches to three foot depths in very steep terrain near cliff and rocky areas. Avalanches at low elevations are not expected today where the slopes generally lack snow cover. Note: This is the last advisory of the season. Snowpack summaries and avalanche event data and mapping will continue to be updated periodically. Weather stations will continue to operate and attributes such as snowfall amounts, temperatures, and wind information can be monitored through the Weather and Snow data link on our website. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT THIS PAST SEASON!
