Points saillants

The snowpack is mostly stable however at the upper elevations new light density snow is poorly bonded to slick old snow surfaces. Loose snow sluffs are likely on steep slopes and isolated pockets of soft surface slab up to one foot deep could be human triggered in cliff areas and in the entrances to steep couloirs. In addition, at the upper elevations, the potential for large loads to trigger full depth hard slab avalanches in isolated areas has not been eliminated. Avalanches are unlikely at the mid and lower elevations except in isolated pockets. A portion of the proceedings from the play "K2" at the Center for the Arts will benefit this avalanche center. Performances will occur on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM and on Sunday at 3 PM.
