Points saillants
The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 8000' feet. Unstable slabs to three feet in depth persist in steep avalanche terrain. Although this instability exists on all aspects it is more likely to present itself on North to East facing slopes. The potential continues for riders and skiers to trigger these dangerous slabs even after a slope has been crossed several times. Avalanches at lower elevations are unlikely.
