Points saillants

New slabs of 1 to 4 feet in depth have been deposited over the last four days at mid and upper elevations. Many natural avalanches have occurred. Fragile layers of surface hoar, melt freeze crust and wind pack formed during the last dry period in early February. To date over five and one half inches of moisture and five feet of snow have been deposited on these excellent sliding surfaces. Highways will be impacted. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
