Avalanche Summary

With another foot of snow possible by Monday evening, avalanche conditions remain dangerous. The most dangerous slopes are on the north half of the compass and were recently wind-loaded. Avoid these slopes. In sheltered areas, evaluate the snowpack before committing to steep slopes. If you observe cracking or sounds of whumpfing, adjust to a more conservative plan. Remotely-triggered avalanches are a possibility, so be aware of what's above you. Low-angle, southerly-facing slopes without recent drifting are the safest option right now.
