The old wind slabs represent the main danger.
As a consequence of a strong wind from northwesterly directions, mostly small wind slabs will form especially adjacent to ridgelines as well as above the tree line. The fresh wind slabs are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls.
