A lot of snow will fall. The wind will transport the new snow. The fresh snow as well as the wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant. As the snowfall becomes more intense the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent from the late morning. In particular on steep shady slopes the avalanches can be released in deep layers of the snowpack and reach large size.

In some localities up to 30 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall above approximately 2000 m. In addition avalanche prone wind slabs will form in particular in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain as the day progresses. The new snow will be deposited on soft layers in particular on shady slopes above approximately 2500 m. Individual weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in shady places that are protected from the wind, in particular at high altitude.
